Installation archives for PiBox for Raspberry Pi 2 and 3
These are the installable packages. To use these you need an SD card that is at least 4GB in size, 8GB or larger is recommended.
Installation instructions
- Find the device associated with your SD card. WARNING: make sure you have the correct device name as installation tools will wipe the contents of the device you select!
- Use the mksd.sh script to partition the SD card. See mksd.sh -? for help.
- When mksd.sh completes you can install the software to the SD card. Use the mkinstall.sh script to install PiBox to the SD card. See mkinstall.sh -? for help. To help prevent accidental ovewrite of other disks, the -b argument to mkinstall.sh requires that you have mounted the first partition of the SD card to a local mount point.
- Once mkinstall.sh completes the mounted first partition should be unmounted, then the SD card can be inserted into the Raspberry Pi and booted. The first boot will do some initial setup and then reboot automatically once more. PiBox is ready to use when the UI is displayed.
- The devplatform image is ready to use at this point. The other images require installation of the OPKG files.
- cd /media/mmcblk0p3/opkg/pkg
- opkg install *.opk
- reboot
