V3.5 had build problems related
to changes in the imake template files for XFree86 4.1.
Additionally, Solaris 2.8 users had problems building the pilot
tools on their system. A new option - NOPILOT - is now available
for users who do not wish to build the pilot tools. This might be
applicable to handheld users running Tiny X, though it hasn't been
tried here yet.
If you had problems building XNotesPlus from source,
try the 3.5.2 release available from the download page.

XNotesPlus
offers Linux and other Unix users a complete
Personal Information Managment system with a simple but full featured
interface.
Whether you're syncing your address book with your Palm Pilot or just trying to
keep notes on your current project, XNotesPlus offers you the flexibility to organize
your work at home and on the move.
XNotesPlus is a Linux/Unix native application supporting GTK+, the same enviornment
used by the GNOME Desktop. Recently joining Red Hat and other well known
Linux distributions, HP and Sun Microsystems have now adopted both
GNOME and GTK+ for their own desktops. And XNotesPlus integrates easily into
all of these environments.
The "plus" side of XNotesPlus
is its full featured interface to
PalmOS®
enabled handheld devices or PDAs (personal digital assistants).
Palm Address, Todo, Memo and Calendar databases all integrate with XNotesPlus.
Notes from all the Palm databases can be moved freely from one feature to another
using XNotesPlus own extensive note handling system.
New with the 3.5 Release:
Extended Pilot support to include install, delete, fetch and list DB's
* Merge multiple XNotes
* Print options for Todo and Address Manager
* Spell checking for XNotes
* Import/export XNotes with Todo and Address Managers
* Graphical installer (xninstall)
