I had to switch to RH’s insmod from Busybox’s because translucency.o won’t load with BusyBox’s. That means all insmod’s need -r now and all modprobe’s don’t work (they got switched to insmod’s). But that pretty much matches what Larry did so I don’t see a big problem there. Users on other systems may not have the -r option, however. So that option doesn’t seem optimal for non-RH users. For now, we’ll keep it. We just want to reproduce Larry’s work before trying to generalize it for all distributions.

But the problem now is that when Mythfrontend starts and I try to watch TV it segfaults, sometimes taking the backend with it. I can’t tell exactly why its segfaulting. strace doesn’t really give me much, and neither does the debug levels of mythfrontend.

So I may need some help debugging this one.

I’m making progress – the kernel modules all load now.
