This year's Libre Graphics Meeting is taking shape, with a temporary website posted.  The official domain is being readied and the web site will be transferred there later.  The LGM is a conference for artists and developers who work with open source graphics tools such as the GIMP, Inkscape and Blender.

There is also an IRC channel you can subscribe to for discussion on the event:  #lgm on irc://freenode.net

I don't attend conferences much anymore since I have neither the funds nor the free time.  Later, when the small company I work for begins to grow some, I expect to be able to attend a few.  But that probably won't be this year.  Maybe in 2008.
