Antenna up, first digital box tested

I tested the antenna in my basement with the first of two digital converters (the second from amazon still hasn't arrived even though it was ordered the same day) and an analog TV.  The antenna was able to pick up all the expected channels which antennaweb.org said we should get.  I have a small room in my garage in which the previous owners kept their dog (ours sleep in our bedroom) that I use for storage.  The top of the room only goes halfway to the ceiling in the garage.  This is the perfect spot for the antenna because the incoming cable and junction box (where the lines to all the rooms start) is just outside the garage from that room.  It's also very close to a power outlet so that the power injector can be attached before the line reaches the junction box.

So I mounted the antenna on top of the room and ran a cable to the hole in the garage where the cable lines to the rooms come in from the junction box.  I need to test each line at the junction to find which one leads to my office so I can direct-connect the incoming comcast line to it to keep Internet access.  But once I do that then the antenna line can be attached to the junction box and then all rooms will be tied to the antenna.

I'll do all that before the second digital converter gets here later this week.  Once all this is done – and the second converter installed in the kitch – we can finally disconnect from Comcast TV.

Oh, and I bought an nvidia 9800GT based video card for the computer attached to the big TV in the living room.  So now we should be able to watch pretty much any show on the Internet using the whole screen – something I wasn't able to do with the nVidia 6150SE builtin video on that motherboard.
