A new gig

I've been invited to be a featured columnist in a new linux magazine. Details are forthcoming. The only thing I'm allowed to say at this point is that if you are a regular reader of the leading Linux magazines then you're likely to recognize the Editor-in-Chief of the new magazine (no, its not me).

I'll be covering my usual haunts: gimp, graphics, the desktop, etc. If I could just get some feedback from readers on what they want to hear I might have a shot at writing something useful for them.

First issue should be out by year end or early next year. I'm looking forward to being a featured columnist. My gig with LinuxFormat (which I'll keep as long as they'll have me) has been as an unofficial columnist, though it has been a regular column for at least 1.5 years now (probably longer) and I do enjoy that one as well. It's just that as a featured columnist, I'm an insider wonko instead of a just a guest wonko.

And as we all know, insider wonko's get all the good seats at LinuxWorld keynotes.

FWIW, I'm not quitting the day job. I'll still be with RLXTechnologies for as long as they'll have me. For as we all know, writing don't pay nuttin' like being the build master.
